About Our Firm

Created out of a joint association of Environmental Concern, Inc. of Spokane, Washington and Terry Hyer of Anchorage, Alaska in 1981, ECI/Hyer has functioned independently since 1985. The name ECI/Hyer and the dedication to design excellence and client service remain steadfast under the stewardship of our principals and our many long-term employees.

ECI/Hyer is a full service architectural and interior design firm specializing in 'people-places.' We are dedicated to quality design that is appropriate for our clients' needs. Our architecture is shaped by Alaska's vast resources and opportunities and is environmentally-based. We strive to create practical and inventive solutions in every setting, from the urban Anchorage bowl to remote villages.
